Drake

Aubrey Drake Graham was born on October 24, 1986, in Toronto, Ontario. First gaining prominence as Jimmy Brooks in the Canadian teen television drama series 'Degrassi: The Next Generation', Drake pursued a career in hip-hop, releasing acclaimed independent mixtapes including 'So Far Gone' (2009). His breakthrough caught the attention of Lil Wayne, who signed him to Young Money Entertainment.

With his debut studio album 'Thank Me Later' (2010) and his multi-platinum, Grammy-winning sophomore masterpiece 'Take Care' (2011), Drake fundamentally altered the trajectory of modern urban music. Blending introspective storytelling, melodic vulnerability, and infectious pop hooks, he produced a string of cultural touchstones including 'Nothing Was the Same' (2013), 'Views' (2016 featuring 'Hotline Bling' and 'One Dance'), and 'Scorpion' (2018 featuring 'God's Plan').

Drake holds numerous all-time music industry records, including the most top-10 singles, the most charted songs on the Billboard Hot 100 (over 300 entries), and over 170 million record sales worldwide. A five-time Grammy Award winner and thirty-four-time Billboard Music Award winner (the most of any artist in history), he founded record label OVO Sound and fashion label Nocta. Drake stands as one of the most culturally dominant musical giants of the 21st century.
