Winning the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1903 and the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1911, Curie established the Institut du Radium in Paris and equipped mobile radiography vehicles ("Petites Curies") during World War I. World Radiochemistry and Curie Heritage Day celebrates the modern applications of isotopes—from targeted cancer therapies (Actinium-225 and Lutetium-177) to carbon-14 dating and clean energy.
