Tyler Posey

Tyler Garcia Posey is an American actor, director, and musician who became a global pop-culture phenomenon as the heroic werewolf Scott McCall on MTV\'s hit supernatural drama series Teen Wolf. Born on October 18, 1991, in Santa Monica, California, into an artistic family—the son of actor and writer John Posey—he began acting as a child. In 2002, at age ten, Posey achieved widespread recognition playing Ty Ventura, the precocious son of Jennifer Lopez\'s character in the blockbuster romantic comedy Maid in Manhattan, followed by roles in Collateral Damage with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Doc.

In 2011, Posey landed the defining role of his career as high school student turned werewolf Scott McCall in Teen Wolf. Loosely based on the 1985 Michael J. Fox film, the series became an international sensation among teenage and young-adult audiences. Across six seasons and one hundred episodes, Posey\'s charismatic portrayal of a moral, fiercely protective "True Alpha" who refused to kill earned him massive global acclaim, multiple Teen Choice Awards, and an ALMA Award for Favorite TV Actor. He also directed episodes of the series, demonstrating his behind-the-camera talent.

Beyond Teen Wolf, Posey starred in the 2018 Blumhouse supernatural horror film Truth or Dare, Jane the Virgin, Now Apocalypse, and reprised his signature role in Paramount+\'s Teen Wolf: The Movie (2023). A dedicated musician, Posey has played guitar and fronted multiple pop-punk bands, including Lost in Kostko, Five North, and released his acclaimed solo punk-rock album Drugs in 2021. Known for his candid advocacy for mental health awareness, Posey remains one of television\'s most beloved young stars.
