Sisqó

<p>Mark Althavean Andrews was born on November 9, 1978, in Baltimore, Maryland. In 1992, he co-founded the R&B quartet <strong>Dru Hill</strong> alongside high school friends Jazz, Nokio, and Woody, working together at The Fudge Shoppe in Baltimore's Inner Harbor singing gospel harmonies while making fudge.</p><p>Signed to Island Black Music, Dru Hill became one of the dominant R&B acts of the late 1990s, scoring seven Billboard R&B No. 1 hits including 'Tell Me', 'In My Bed', 'Never Make a Promise', and 'How Deep Is Your Love' (from the <em>Rush Hour</em> soundtrack). Sisqó's fiery gospel-rooted vocal belting and acrobatic stage choreography established him as the group's breakout star.</p><p>In November 1999, Sisqó released his debut solo album <em>Unleash the Dragon</em>. Propelled by the inescapable worldwide club anthem <strong>'Thong Song'</strong> and the romantic Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 ballad <strong>'Incomplete'</strong>, the album achieved quadruple-platinum sales. Sisqó earned six Grammy nominations, won six Billboard Music Awards, and starred in films such as <em>Snow Dogs</em> (2002). He continues to tour globally both as a solo act and with Dru Hill.</p>
