Brad Haddin

Bradley James Haddin was born on October 23, 1977, in Cowra, New South Wales. Biding his time behind Australian legend Adam Gilchrist in the national hierarchy while captaining New South Wales to multiple Sheffield Shield titles, Haddin inherited the Australian Test wicketkeeping gloves in 2008 in the West Indies, scoring a century in only his second Test match.

Haddin’s career reached its zenith during the historic 2013–14 Ashes series in Australia. Serving as vice-captain, Haddin entered at precarious positions (often 5 wickets down for under 150 runs) and counter-attacked England’s bowlers ruthlessly, scoring 493 runs at an average of 61.62 and taking 22 catches. His heroics turned every Test in Australia's favor, completing a historic 5-0 Ashes clean sweep and breaking the world record for most runs by a wicketkeeper in a Test series.

In 2015, Haddin concluded his international limited-overs career in triumph as vice-captain of Australia's 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup winning team. Over 66 Tests and 126 ODIs, Haddin scored nearly 6,400 international runs and claimed over 450 dismissals. Following retirement, he has served as a high-profile fielding and assistant coach for Australia, the Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Punjab Kings.
